Project Overview:

PotashCorp is the world’s largest fertilizer company by capacity. When they expanded their facility in Sussex, New Brunswick, they required load testing of their newly installed fall arrest roof anchors, Installed by others, Ocean Steel (a member of the OSCO Group) turned to ProTechs professional services to inspect their anchor installation.

To meet requirements of CSA Standards, all new fall arrest anchors (and every 5 years for concrete anchors) are to be load test prior to commissioning.

Load testing is an important step in the proof of design for anchor installations, ProTech uses a variety of methods to load test all types of anchors of different shapes, attachments, and locations.

ProTech load tests anchors installed by ourselves and others we also conduct re-commission inspections / testing of existing anchors. With over 20 years of experience installing and inspecting, as well as working with many Engineers and other trade professionals ProTech has become an expert in the design capabilities and characteristics of roof anchor when under loads.
